Beats by Dre
SOLO SELFIE

Directed by Bright Black

This global campaign was designed to create engagement with an expanding list of celebrities. Seamless shots were captured on movie sets, in talent trailers, during Comic Con breaks, and on hotel balconies in just a few takes to cause as little disruption as possible to A-list celeb schedules. Multiple versions were shared across digital channels and promoted through partner and influencer posts.

MARCO POLO

Directed by Samuel & Gunnar

A childhood pool game serves as the call of luxury in this Samuel & Gunnar directed campaign from Venable Bell & Partners. Cruise advertising is notoriously monotonous but this work offers something a little different. Celebrity staff members call out "Marco," and somewhere on land, office workers and other people having no fun are compelled to respond "Polo." The message is clear, you could be having way more fun right now, if you were on a cruise. Shot on location in Fort Lauderdale and Miami, production was limited to five hours to shoot all of the ship scenes just before departure for her next voyage.

ORIGINAL BY DESIGN

Bright Black brings stories of artists and their creative tools to life in visual ways that authentically reveal how they actually live and work. These pieces were conceived by Bright Black and fine tuned in collaboration with the artists to genuinely represent their unique voices. Bright Black also oversaw post on the campaign. Multiple films were produced for digital release and use on a branded website specifically built to introduce the product and share these inspirational stories.


Angel Soft
JUST DAD

Directed by Samuel & Gunnar

Angel Soft’s “Be Soft, Be Strong” campaign from Deutsch celebrates unconventional families whose members successfully persevere through life despite their lack of cookie-cutter familial roles. “Just Dad,” features a single father raising his daughter even when the going gets tough. This Clio nominated spot is a sweet tale of a father-daughter who manage to get through life’s obstacles together. Shot in Los Angeles, Samuel and Gunnar focused heavily on casting, which played a big role in convincing and delivering this delicate message.


Nike
YOU CAN’T STOP OUR VOICE

Directed by Bright Black

Long time collaborators with Nike, Bright Black was tasked with capturing a zeitgeist, to inspire and support the brand’s position and relevance within a larger, important social context. With the backdrop of a social and environmental justice movement, and in the middle of a contentious presidential election, Bright Black developed a production road map to shoot and execute a series of powerful films that dive into relevant issues and serve as a call to action to get out and vote. This project is truly unique as there is no Nike product at the center of the campaign, the heart of the work showcases the power of the individual voice.


Toyota
WE ALL WIN

Directed by IAMSTATIC

Toyota has been working toward a cleaner future since 1997 when they debuted the iconic Prius. Toyota wanted to celebrate this achievement alongside their current “electrified” lineup by launching an anthemic brand film. IAMSTATIC was tasked with creating a fully photoreal CG spot that takes viewers on a journey through multiple time periods and settings. They crafted each environment, featuring different seasons and weather conditions, from scratch to make a dynamic spot that seamlessly flows from one location to the next.

MIREMBA’S LULLABY

Directed by Kevin Osgood

Can creativity and technology help reduce the risk of mosquito-borne malaria for children in Uganda? HP set out to prove it could asking our BODEGA team to travel to Uganda to document their efforts. This project involved an international shoot, an innovative idea and an uplifting message. The results were used by HP’s leadership and shared on their social platforms, encouraging others to donate to the cause. BODEGA produced this work from production through post, including an international shoot, edit, design, color, finishing and audio mix.
